Welcome to the Fifth Edition of the WILSON Newsletter!
Dear WILSON Community,
Since our last edition, WILSON has been busy. We co-organised our first public workshop in Eindhoven, published new research, presented the project at major European events and reached the final of the .eu Web Awards. In this edition, we look back at these highlights and invite you to our next big event in Switzerland. Let’s dive in! |

📅 Save the Date: HSLU Data Space Forum – 17 November 2026, Lucerne |
|
|
| After a successful first workshop in Eindhoven, WILSON is heading to Switzerland! Together with Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), we are co-organising the 5th HSLU Data Space Forum, alongside the project’s 4th General Assembly (17–18 November 2026).
As data becomes an increasingly important resource, organisations face a key question: how can they share and use data across organisational boundaries without giving up control over it? The forum will look at how data spaces are moving from concept to practice, with concrete initiatives, live demonstrations and practical experience.
Programme highlights: Key questions: How can data spaces enable data sovereignty? How can we build successful data ecosystems? How can data be made available for multiple use cases while maintaining control? What does the future of trusted, cross-organisational data sharing look like?
📅 17 November 2026 | 14:00–18:00 CET
📍 HSLU Technik & Architektur, Technikumstrasse 21, 6048 Horw, Switzerland + online
The speaker line-up will be announced soon. Stay tuned! |

WILSON and the NWO KIC UPSCALE project jointly organised the “Data Spaces for Construction” workshop at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Researchers and industry stakeholders explored how interoperable, secure and trustworthy data sharing can support both smart building operations and circular material value chains. The programme included keynotes by Frank Hermans (InnoTractor) and Prof. Markus König (Ruhr University Bochum), tech demonstrator sessions, and discussions across business, governance and technical tracks. 🎬 You can watch the Welcome & Keynotes and Tech Demonstrators. |

WILSON General Assembly at TU/e |
|
|
|
Right after the workshop, partners met at TU/e for the General Assembly. They reviewed project progress and technical updates on digital twins, data interoperability and lifecycle data solutions. Interactive workshops and demos covered use-case progress across the pilot countries. Many thanks to TU/e for hosting. |
