WILSON Represented at the 5th Built4People Stakeholders Forum

On 7 October 2026, WILSON partner CIRCE – Centro Tecnológico, represented by Paola Mazzucchelli, took part in the 5th Built4People Stakeholders Forum, held at Buildwise in Brussels, Belgium. The forum brought together policymakers, industry representatives, researchers and other stakeholders to explore how research, innovation and collaboration can help build a more resilient European built environment.

The day opened with a keynote by Captain João Galocha, Military Counsellor in the Portuguese Delegation to NATO. He highlighted the importance of embedding resilience throughout the built environment’s lifecycle, from planning and design to construction, operation and transformation.

Five panel discussions followed, covering key challenges and opportunities for Europe’s built environment:

  • From Vulnerability to Resilience: Securing Europe’s Built Environment
  • Circular by Design: Building Europe’s Resource-Efficient Future
  • From Innovation to Impact: Industrialising and Scaling Up Construction
  • Boosting Competitiveness: AI, Robotics and the Future of the Built Environment
  • People at the Heart of Resilience: Scaling People-Centred Innovation

Discussions pointed to systemic resilience, circular construction, digital intelligence and the capacity to bring innovation to scale as key priorities. CIRCE’s involvement in Horizon Europe projects supports these priorities, with WILSON focusing on digitalisation and intelligent decision-making in buildings and districts.

A central message of the forum was that building a more resilient Europe requires turning ambition into action. This means stronger collaboration across the built environment value chain and translating research into practical, scalable solutions.
