WILSON’s main objective is to enable more efficient and sustainable data use in the built environment. Unlike the current segmented limited building data solutions, a decentralized and holistic data management approach is presented based on:
1) District Digital Twin, a federated system of local digital twins,
2) Personalised Building Data Hubs (PDHs), public interface points of each building that integrate all relevant data,
3) A Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Data and Services Marketplace, a data mesh architecture that allows seamless integration between stakeholders and provides self-executing contracts to access data.
Taking advantage of this methodology and data availability, operation and management improvements are planned, with tools to improve comfort and energy efficiency based on data-driven decision-making, to enhance risk and resilience calculations, and to establish the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) of the buildings.
